With the cold weather and snow this weekend, I have warmed up my kitchen with some tasty homemade fine cut peel marmalade. I have given the preserve a sweet cumin twist that has added sweetness to the bitter Seville orange. The marmalade has particularly worked well with pork sausages, boiled ham and in my sandwiches. It’s for sale for £4 a jar.
Also this week, I have two cookery classes starting with four lovely ladies from the WI East Harptree who have been keen to learn how to use spices with confidence so are starting with the Introduction to spices course. It will a great cookery session.
On Friday its the turn of the boys – four budding cooks who who love and enjoy cooking curry. They are trying the weekend family meal covering spicy roast chicken, aubergine and potato curry, mixed vegetable rice and chass.
With popular request, I have put together a whole day cookery classes and will post more information at the end of the week.
