After a lovely visit to Hampton Court Palace at the Foodies Festival and meeting the lovely Anjula Devi – Semi Finalist on Food Glorious Food. I finely got a chance to taste the Chicken Tikka dish. It was tasty, loved the carrot salad and pomegranate jewels. Also Anjula was conducting a demo on stage of how to cook the dish showing various techniques. Great work. She runs a cookery school in London www.anjuladevi.com
Sarah Pitt from the Western Morning News http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/home is travelling a fair distance to come and have a cookery class focusing on Game Cookery in conjunction with Country Sports South West. Sweet Cumin will feature in 8th June edition. On the menu is rabbit and pork meat balls, kismis pheasant curry in a peanut sauce, Gujarati spicy rice and a traditional yoghurt drink called chass. A great combination. Can’t wait.

It’s also the Bath and West Show http://www.bathandwest.com/royal-bath-west/97/ this week – over 15,000 people visit the show every day and showcases the array of food, lifestyle and wonderful activities the South West has to offer. I will visit on Friday to check out what’s on offer and meet some wonderful people.

Finally, some budding cooks fancy a go at making Indian breads – Nann bread with various fillings, chappatis making, kebabs, salad and a relish to suit. Great way to start off the month of June.
Enjoy the week.
